The Community Outreach Team, Inc. (COT) fulfill its mission of supporting self-sufficiency for individuals and families, and focuses on building sustainable communities through an initiative called “Family of Distinction Program”. This program provides the following services:
- Strengthening Parenting Skills
- Adult Job Training and Education Programs
- After School & Summer Camp Programs
- A Recreational component that will provide gymnastics and other support programming

Albert A. Lewis Apartment Building -
The Community Outreach Team, Inc. purchased and renovated property located at 60 Martin Luther King Drive in Jersey City, New Jersey. The property had been an eyesore in the community for many years, but it has now become a ray of hope of bigger and better things that are to come.
- 2008-2009
Bay Bay Senior Housing program -This endeavor will provide modern, affordable and market rate housing to the older population of our community, many of which labored and sacrificed their lives for the perpetuation and preservation of family and community. This program will also include an elder care and recreation program.

Medical Office Specialist
Our program is centered on preparing students for entry-level position in Medical Billing and Coding field. We believe that with the proper training students can prepare themselves for suitable employment, which would allow them to offer their skills. Our workshops would allow students to be creative and feel confident to obtain gainful employment.

Parenting/Family Program
Real Life Community School, in collaboration, with Adult Literacy Media Alliance (ALMA)/TV411 offers a user friendly Parenting/Family Kit that teaches important life skills and literacy skills to parents and their children. The kit combines TV411 video, Print (and optional web) resources with arts and crafts style activities to promote rich, interactive and intergenerational literacy experiences.

Real Life Community School(RLCS)
Our aim is to continue to recruit adults, and provide them an array of career training in Basic Educational skills. The Program is designed for those who need to improve their reading comprehension and basic math concepts before taking the GED (General Educational Diploma) Prep courses. Emphasis is placed on the Sciences, Social Studies, Literature & Arts section of the GED Exam. Curriculums are designed to teach for today’s needs and tomorrow’s challenges. Curriculum Approved by NJ Dept. Board Of Education.

Total Development Summer Camp (TDSC)
The Total Development Summer Camp (TDSC) is an intensive activity based summer camp that seeks to bridge gaps that impede the success of inner city kids in Jersey City, NJ. The program specifically addresses and integrates four major areas that impact student performance and development:
1. Remedial learning and academic advancement
2. Personal Empowerment and Group Support skills
3. Fine arts appreciation and structured recreational exploration
4. Parental empowerment and training.
